选取35个现存的中国传统园林或景点为研究对象，从时间设计的视角，对其整体空间构图进行了调查分析，归纳出5种“理法”，即复合形、中心水面、占角建筑、池岛结构、复合路径，并将其图示化。统计表明，复合形占100%，中心水面占80%，占角建筑（假山）占86%，池岛结构占54%，复合路径占100%，说明5种“理法”广泛存在于中国传统园林中。5种“理法”为中国园林的传承提供了可操作性的范式。
Abstract:
From the perspective of time designing, this paper analyses the overall space configurations of 35 existing Chinese traditional gardens or scenes. Five principles have been classified and iconified, like the complex shape, the center water, the buildings at the corner, the pool with island, and the compound routing. The statistical result shows that the principle of complex shape is employed in 100 % of the investigated gardens; that of center water in 80 % gardens; the building at the corner in 86 % ones; a pool with island in 54 % gardens, and the compound routing can be seen in 100 % of gardens, too. The findings demonstrate that these five principles and models exist widely in Chinese traditional gardens and can be taken as the operational paradigm for the heritage of Chinese garden
