摘要:
 波兰裔英国人类学家、功能学派创始人之一的马林诺夫斯基认为语言和环境之间有着紧密的联系,语言的环境对于理解语言来说是必不可少的,进而提出只有在"文化语境"和"情景语境"中才能对一段话的意义做出评价。文章从简述马氏语境观的形成过程入手,进而通过比较"情景语境"理论与奥斯汀的"言语行为"理论、挖掘"文化语境"的内涵、分析"文化语境"与语境的关系等几方面来集中探讨马氏的语境观对于当今语境研究的潜在价值和特殊意义。

Abstract:
 Polish-British anthropologist B. Malinowski, also known as the one who originates the school of social anthropology known as functionalism, argues that there exists close interaction between language and its context and context plays a vital role for people to make sense of language. He accordingly holds that language can by no means be exactly assessed or comprehended without being set in its “context of culture” and “context of situation”. This paper aims to reanalyze the potential values and academic significance of B. Malinowski’s perspectives on context on today’s relevant research on context through a brief introduction of the establishment of B. Malinowski’s contextual perspectives, a systematical comparison between B. Malinowski’s theory of “context of situation” and J. Austin’s “Speech Act Theory”, a probe into B. Malinowski’s “context of culture” and a discussion of the relations between “context of culture” and context.
