摘要:
以特朗普在2020年国情咨文讲话为个案,结合趋近化理论探讨政治话语的合法化构建。研究发现:特朗普的国情咨文首先利用空间趋近化识别出两组对立的组群,并重点识解外部实体对话语空间内部实体的侵袭过程和影响,听话人获得直观感受,以取缔对方侵占行为的合法性; 其次时间趋近化策略上,更多采用将来到现在的概念转移,预设外部实体对未来的威胁,以实现其防御措施的合法化; 价值趋近化上,突显特朗普政府应对外部威胁的积极态度,强调其对国家利益的捍卫,努力增强自身行为合法性,以塑造一个积极良好的正面形象,为其各项政策措施的实施提供合法化依据。
Abstract:
From the perspective of proximization theory, this paper analyzes the legitimization of political discourse in the case of President Trump's 2020 State of the Union Address. This research finds that firstly the spatial proximization strategy involves a construal of IDC and ODC, two opposite groups of entities, and emphasizes the process and the consequences of ODC's encroaching on IDC across the discourse space. The threats felt intuitively by IDC makes it possible to delegitimize the actions of ODC. Secondly, for the temporal proximization strategy, present-to-future conceptual shift is mainly adopted and the threat to the future is presupposed by ODC to legitimize the preventive actions. Thirdly, by using the axiological proximization strategy, the positive attitudes of the Trump administration are highlighted to respond to external threats. President Trump emphsizes the defense of national interest to enhance the legitimization of its action and creates a positive image to provide reference for the implementation of its policies and measures.
