Aristotelian formal cause, an important ideological source of Kant's concept of a priori knowledge, is a theoretical opportunity for Kant to combine teleology with aesthetics. Kant creatively develops the formal cause in Aristotelian entity theory into the formal concept of a priori knowledge, and the final cause in formal cause into the subjective-teleology, which grants the possibility for human beings to find a priori justification for the aesthetic judgment in the domain of aesthetics. This type of knowledge expressed as subjective teleology in natural form turns out to be the consequence of Kant's rediscovery and development of Aristotelian formal cause.
