摘要:
哥特、巴洛克作为久负盛名的两种艺术风格,如何从建筑领域波及到文学领域?哥特、巴洛克建筑与文学产生的社会历史语境、风格特征是什么?中世纪哥特建筑飞升高耸,张扬的是理性压抑下人强烈的主体意识。18世纪哥特复兴中的哥特文学亦隐秘地表现人强烈的激情。17世纪的巴洛克建筑与文学浮夸多变,表现时代的跌宕起伏。哥特、巴洛克风格不同,但历史语境都处于社会转型期,表现人强烈的主体意识和奇特的情感,反叛古典理性传统。研究尝试结合历史语境,采用实例分析法与对比研究法,就哥特、巴洛克建筑与文学的共通性进行研究,理清其历史渊源、风格特征及人文内涵。
Abstract:
Studying how Gothic and Baroque, two prestigious artistic styles, spread from architecture to literature, the paper explores the socio-historical context where the architecture and literature with their unique Gothic and Baroque features come into existence. The towering and exaggerating Gothic architecture during the medieval age flaunts actually people's strong sense of subjectivity restrained by rationalism and this similar passion powerfully emerges in the Gothic literature during the Gothic Revival of the 18th century. Revealing the ups and downs of that period, both the Baroque literature and architecture in the 17th century are richly grandiose with varied features. Different as they are in the style, the historical context of Gothic and Baroque are both deeply rooted in a period of social transformation, thus emphasizing upon people's fantastic emotion and strong sense of subjectivity and encouraging a rebellious spirit against classical rationalism. Engaging in a socio-historical perspective and the case analysis, the paper aims to make a comparative case study of the commonality between the architecture and literature in the style of Gothic and Baroque so as to specify their historical relations, characteristics and humanistic connotations.
