文物古建筑应该同周边环境做为一个整体进行保护规划。在介绍了文物古建筑保护规划中保护范围划定的意义和原则后，又说明了保护的方法。保护范围的划定主要包括保护区的范围和建设控制地带的范围，其中保护区一般分为重点保护区和一般保护区，建设控制地带一般分为一类建设控制地带和二类建设控制地带。接着以山西南部五个国家级重点文物古建筑保护规划中保护范围的划定为例，分别阐述了周边环境为自然山区、自然村落区、城市边缘区、城市传统街区和城市现代街区五种不同类型文物古建筑保护范围划定的方法。
- Abstract:

This paperargues that both the historical buildings of culturalrelics and their surroundings should be protected as awhole .It presents the significance and principles to def ine the protected domain, and the pro tecting methods .T he protected domain defined consist s o f mainly the pro tected areas, which are divided into the key pro tected areas and the general ones , and the construct ion cont rolareas , w hich fall into the first class construction control zone and the second class construct ion control zone .With five national key co nservatio n plans for the preservat ion of hi storical bui lding s of culturalrelics in southern Shanxi as the examples , the paper expounds respect ively five methods to def
ine protected domains with different surroundings , such as the natural mountains , the natural villages , the area of outskirts , the traditional urban street s and the modern urban streets .
