摘要:
 亚伯拉罕·林肯,这位举世闻名的美国平民总统为世人所熟知的是他废除了惨无人道的奴隶制度,消除了美国资本主义发展的桎梏;他领导美国人民经历了艰苦卓绝的内战,维护了国家的统一。但是世人还应该知道他著名的只有10句话、271个词仅持续了不到3分钟的《葛底斯堡演讲》及其背景和影响。这一演讲被认为是英语演讲中的最高典范,这篇文稿的遣词和民主思想还极大地影响了法国宪法和孙中山的三民主义的思想主张以及马丁·路德·金的《我有一个梦想》。

Abstract:
 Abraham Lincoln，the famous self-made American President is known for his guiding his country through the most devastating experience in its national history —— the Civil War , abolishing slavery which eliminated the barrier to the tremendous growth of the capitalism and keeping the Union together. However, he should also be known for his highly influential“The Gettysburg Address”presented in the critical historical background which summarized the war in 10 sentences and 271 words. The Gettysburg Address is one of the best-known speeches in the English world which is frequently referred to in works of popular culture. Its word choice and its democratic thought had great influence on The Constitution of France and Sun Yat-sen’s Three Principles of the People ,and even Martin Luther King, Jr.’s speech "I Have a Dream" owes much to it .Besides,The present American president Obama also quoted from it .
