摘要:: 二十世纪三十年代的美国社会中迷茫?消极?逃避的声音愈见增多,罗伯特?潘?沃伦追根溯源,发现原因在于美国人民心头久郁不散的两块阴霾:一为蓄奴制和南北战争留下的罪恶感,一为经济大萧条造成的挫败感?沃伦将他省察到的这两种历史和现实的时代重负揉入到小说《国王的人马》中,意在劝诫美国人民坚强地承担历史遗留的创伤记忆,勇敢面对沉重的现实压力?

Abstract:: The confused,passive and irresponsible voices flooded American society in the 1930s,and Robert Penn Warren traced to the source and found two kinds of leading causes:one is the slavery system and the painful mental trauma in the Civil War;the other is the realistic frustration from Great Depression.In his summit work All the Kings Men,Warren integrates the two heaviest burdens throughout American history into the plot,and expostulates with American people on undertaking the burden of historical traumatic memory and realistic disasters.
